The Bellows Fellows

Idaho Falls, Idaho
David Combs and David Sealander have been playing accordion together for over 30 years. They've played
for a variety of ethnic ensembles, including Scandinavian, Celtic, German, Italian, and other folk traditions.
In 1998 and 1999, they were featured performers at the Scandia Midsommarfest in Poulsbo, Washington. In
recent years, they've been heavily involved in both the organization and music for contradances, playing first
as SqueezePlay, and more recently as the Bellows Fellows.
David Combs started learning to play accordion at the age of 12, having first studied classical piano.
From the first, he was interested in Swedish and Norwegian music, learning tunes from Carl Jularbo and Walter
Ericksson recordings, and eventually discovering more fiddle-driven Scandinavian forms. Today David plays many
types of music, particularly that of the European countries and the British Isles.
David Sealander was exposed to accordion music practically from the day he was born. His father Clause Sealander
was a well known accordion player who played all over Idaho and Utah with his friend Noble Lundblade as the
Copenhagen Twins. David is a very versatile player who is at home not only in folk music, but also in rock and jazz.
Daryl Lopez started classical guitar lessons at the age of 15. In the late 60s he played folk music, and by the 80s
had taken up fiddle contest guitar backing, fiddle tune flatpicking, and bluegrass mandolin. In the 90s Daryl
started playing for contradances with SqueezePlay and the Bellows Fellows. He also enjoys playing standards and swing.
